Abstract
One hundred forty one Teacher Educators were selected from various aided and unaided B Ed colleges and university departments affiliated to different Universities of eastern Uttar Pradesh. Professional involvement scale was employed to collect the data. The data were analyzed by employing test of Critical Ratio. It was found that female teachers of the aided degree colleges were more professionally involved in comparison to their male counterparts.. As far as the dimensions of professional involvement are concerned, it was found that while female teachers were more involved in institutional and professional ethics than their male counterparts. It was also found that less experienced teachers of the aided degree colleges were more professionally involved in comparison to their more experienced counterpart teachers. As far as the dimensions of the professional involvement were concerned, it was observed that while less experienced teachers were more committed towards profession and professional development, and more experienced teachers were more committed towards institution, there was no difference in relation to commitment towards society and professional ethics.
