VALUE OF SPIRIT OF NATIONALITY (VSN) OF CLASS IX STUDENTS OF RI-BHOI DISTRICT OF MEGHALAYA, INDIA By Laurence Kharluni and Rihunlang Rymbai

Abstract

A wise saying goes ‘united we stand, divided we fall’.  It could as well be put in other words, ‘A nation that is not united will fall apart’.  Hence, the need and call to strengthen the unity of a nation and its future citizens which are the students. The present study seeks to find out the value of spirit of nationality (VSN) of Secondary School Students of Ri-Bhoi District of Meghalaya. The participants in the study include 224 secondary school students. The tool used in this study is the Value of Spirit of Nationality (VSN) scale. The result indicated that students’ level of spirit of nationality is average. Further it was found that there exists no significant relationship between the different groups of students.
